With augmented people now being segregated and discriminated against in what is termed a “mechanical apartheid”, some of the augmented have chosen to fight back and have begun terrorizing the non-augmented. Set two years after the events of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided marks the return of Adam Jensen, who, following the events in Panchaea, finds himself in the middle of a conflict between augmented and non-augmented forces. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is the sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution and serves as the fourth main installment in the Deus Ex line of games.
