Likely will have to wait until the geck is out and possibly F4SE will be needed. Gopher and MGE have made mods in the past that allowed to adjust the brightness, contrast and such within game. Sadly there is not that much can be done to adjust the brightness in the game hopefully a mod will come along that will allow us to adjust the brightness in game. I might try adjusting the pipboy color to almost black, maybe I should set it to black. What I find is the pipboy light is way to bright unless you change the pipboy color to some color I do not like.
The lighting this time around is awesome. It'll do you a favour having a properly calibrated monitor anyway. The game is fine on a monitor calculate dax is calibrated properly. Do the brightness and contrast calibration there. You should change the monitor settings by playing around with brightness and contrast. Most people complain that it is too bright.
Especially at night I can't see anything! It would be a very welcomed addition.
